Our story…

November marks Diabetes Awareness month, a time I cherish as it allows me to connect with people and listen to their stories of living with diabetes.

I have been a Type One Diabetic for 19 years. I was diagnosed at the age of 4, weighing only 24lbs.

During my younger years, I often felt isolated and struggled with the responsibilities that came with Type One diabetes. I experienced anger and overwhelming feelings, which occasionally persist even now.

However, this month is dedicated to spreading awareness and hope for those facing the daily challenges of being a diabetic.

Although the day-to-day struggle can still be overwhelming at times, advancements in treatments and care for this disease allow us to live life as 'normally' as possible. Innovations such as CGMs, automated insulin delivery systems, RPM, improved algorithms, infusions,  and more have significantly improved our lives.

It's an incredibly demanding disease that requires meticulous attention to detail, but it has also introduced many special people, places, and experiences into my life.

I want to live in a world that is free of Type One diabetes. I am asking for you to please consider donating to this wonderful cause.

Together, we can strive for a cure—collectively, we maintain hope.
